We operate on reduced hours during January:
Mon - Thurs 10am - 2pm
Please arrive by 1.30pm so that we have time to assist you before closing.
Normal operating hours (M-F 9.30-4) will resume Monday 30 January.
Our Mission
Community Information Glen Eira contributes to a more caring and supportive community where residents have equality of access to information and services available. As a community based organisation, established for over 40 years we aim to meet needs through provision of relevant information, referral and where appropriate material aid. Our free, confidential service is provided in a caring, and impartial manner by trained local volunteers.
Our Aims
To provide direct aid for the people of Glen Eira who are in need of relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution or helplessness.
To provide an information and referral service for the residents, workers, and visitors to the City of Glen Eira.
To ensure that every individual and group has equal access to information about their rights, responsibilities and services that are available, in order that they can be independent and effective members of the community.
To provide short term material assistance and relief for the people of Glen Eira who are in crisis.
To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services.
